The Bridezilla Syndrome!

Here’s a subject planners don’t like to talk about. I’ve watched the show, I’ve recently been a bride myself, and I deal with Brides on a daily basis. I think that the reality shows have created an unrealistic image of being a bride. Certainly we all want our day to be perfect, I did too. But there is a degree of being realistic about it. There are things that you just can’t control know matter how much you may try. The one thing that is often forgotten is what the day is truly about. I’ve seen a great deal of change in the last few months of brides who choose to have a bad day from the beginning. So focused on getting exactly what they want, that they don’t head the advice of the professionals of how bad it is going to turn out. My simple advice: Remember what this day is truly about. Enjoy this day with your family and friends and have a great time. When you watch all the TV shows, is that truly what you want to become?

Rachel & James

Rachel and James were married on the beach August 9th, 2008. Rachel came to me about 1 month before the wedding. A simple ceremony and reception with 50 guests. Both of them are in the Navy and deployments played a huge part in the wedding date. We had a great time getting everything ready! We became part of this family. Everyone had so much fun and Rachel was so calm throughout the entire wedding day. Congratulations Rachel and James!

My Daughters Wedding

Rachel and Javier Blake.
This is my daughters wedding. WOW, was it something else. Very tiring and stressful. I understand what the mother of the bride goes through. Just like every mother, I wanted the day to go perfect! The stress was double because I was the mom and the planner. There is so much that we want to control that we can’t. The weather, the guests, the tears. I wanted a beautiful day for daughter, not too hot, sun shining, no chance of rain, & everyone on time. You know, the perfect day. Mother nature cooperated with us and gave us a perfect day. It was beautiful and so was my daughter. The tears were huge, it’s hard to let your little girl go. A good time that nobody will ever forget! Congratulations Rachel and Javy!
